Visitation Policies

UPDATE: The Department of Health has released updated visitation guidelines, effective March 25, 2021. These guidelines recognize the emotional and spiritual value that your visits have on your loved ones - our residents. As a result, DOH has adjusted its policies and will no longer be shutting down our community if there is a positive COVID case.

Instead, the DOH guidelines suggest that we disclose the current status of COVID cases in the building, that we maintain safety protocols for the welfare of all, and that we let each person make their own choice about whether to attend in-person visitation appointments or not. If there is a positive case in our community (resident or staff), we will notify next of kin via our Call Multiplier system, and we will update our website on our “COVID-19 Updates” tab, which you can access by clicking here. Please check this website for any changes. Again, we truly thank you all for your support and cooperation as we work to stay ahead of the pandemic, and to be as flexible as possible.

VISITATION POLICIES:

Safety precautions and compliance with guidance continue to be critically important items - and we take them seriously. Below are some guidelines about visitation at Crestview Manor:

When weather permits, outdoor visits are encouraged as the first priority. When weather (or other situations) make outdoor visits impractical, indoor visits are now allowed. Compassionate care visits are also allowed, and have their own conditions. In all cases, all visits and visitors must comply with the policies and procedures that have been developed to ensure safety and compliance. Failure to comply, as per DOH, may lead to a family member being restricted from future visits until after the pandemic is over.

To schedule a visit, please call the facility between 9am - 5pm on Monday - Friday (914-769-1762). No visit will be allowed unless it has been scheduled in advance to ensure compliance. A Fact Sheet for each type of visit can be found below.

Please also note that we continue to encourage caution and safety. Despite these new visitation plans and our updated Vaccine status, the pandemic remains in full force. We encourage all to limit social interactions and continue to follow all CDC guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus.

We are excited about the prospect of our residents getting to spend quality time with their family and friends, and we thank all in advance for your support and cooperation.

Thank you in advance!
